Cushette? Ascher? Cushion?
Hi! My girlfriend has always told me she prefers the Ascher cut and the Cushion cut. However, we stopped by a Jeweler who showed us a 3.01 carat Cushette that she fell in love with. I believe the color was H, clarity was SI1..not sure about the rest of the specifics. The jeweler was asking 36000. Is the Cushette a more expensive cut than Cushion? I am new to all this ‘ring-shopping’, and need some advice on how much I should be paying and where I should go for my diamond.

To answer your first question, no. You are just paying for a brand name, the sizzle without the steak! If you need help finding a diamond, call the National Diamond Helpline at 1-800-275-4047. Then ask for the My Gemologist Department. They will help you free of charge!
