does this measure up?

I have almost given up finding a real class 2 stone. On paper, this seems to fit the parameters, but the stone has been recut from a larger/older stone, and seems to have a higher than normal table. It is a 2.369 carat, 8.59 diameter (8.55-8.63); diam dev .9% (What does this mean?); total depth 61.5, 5.28 mm; crown angle 36.1, crown height, 16.3 (1.40mm); pavilion angle 40.3; pavilion depth 42.5; table 56%; culet .7 very small; girdle 1.4% medium, min/max 1.2 – 1.7; star/upper 54.8. It is listed as a cut grade 1, which I don’t think it is. It is K color and VVS1; and it is priced at $11,800. Faces up nicely.

1. Is it a class 2?
2. What do you think of the price? It seems low to me.

Hi Susan, The total depth% exceeding 61% takes it out of the class 2 category. As far as the price, it is actually in line for the class that it is. The Diamond Guy
