Loose Diamond Question
Hey my grandmother had left behind a diamond and there is no certification I can find on the diamond. So I was wondering if the diamond was real. I did a few tests that I found online one of them was turning the diamond upside down on a book and I couldn't read when the diamond was covering a word. I also did the breath test it fogs for around one second and then disappears from what I've read it seems as if it is real. Any other tests I should try before I bring it to somewhere to get appraised. Thank you for your time.

You've tried the free home tests already. The only other verification before spending money may be a trusted local jeweler. He/she would be able to "spot a fake" in a matter of seconds. Most jewelers wouldn't charge for a quick look. Have a great day!
