Adopt a Diamond Stories

Dear DCI,

I would like to give this gift to my girlfriend Sarah. She is a Speech pathologist for Aldine ISD. We have been together for eight years and I have never been able to give her jewelry. We met when we were freshmen in college and have been together since. After graduation I had hoped to get her a small engagement ring, but due to the economy and unemployment I am unable to do so. There have been so many times Sarah has done great things for me and I would like to express the love and admiration I have for her.

Over the eight years we have been together she has been the most loving and caring person I have ever known; she works long hours tiring to better children’s speech and has a second job at an elderly clinic where she teaches stroke victims how to swallow and speak again.

I know that weather I am awarded this ring to give to my love or not she will love me forever, but it would be nice to show her how I feel.

Our anniversary is on October 14 of this year, and I would like to surprise her with an extra special gift.
