Proposal Stories
New beginnings and happy memories.
My wife and I met back in April 30, 2007 while still in high school. I was the bad boy that drove all the girls in school crazy, and she was a very shy person, always by herself. The day we met it was spontaneity, we were both in a rush to change from one class to another, and we literally bumped into each other. At that moment we forgot about the world and it was just her and I. Soon enough we had become girlfriend and boyfriend, and made each other happy as one could be. Then a year later, April 1, 2008, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Her whole family was devastated. It wasn’t easy for anyone, but I stood by her every step of the way. She went through three months of chemotherapy and a month and a half of radiation. In July 23 the doctor finally told us that she was going to be done with radiation in August 8, 2008. That day after I took her home around one in the afternoon we wanted to celebrate. Then I told her to get ready because I was going to take her out to eat, but before she did that to give me a glass of water. When she did I told her that there was something in my glass. She swore to me that when she gave me the glass it was clean. As she look into the glass where eyes grew wide, and she screamed. I kneeled in front of her and told her that she was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with; I could not see my life any other way. I also told her that I knew all along that she was going to get better very soon. She was and still is the bravest woman in my eyes, and I was so proud of her that the moment was perfect. Of course she said yes immediately and well a year later we got married.
