Size versus quality trade off

The Diamonds detailed below are quoted at the same price – so my wife is struggling to choose between size and quality.(I have also sent the specs. through to your valuation service to check if this is real the case.) When I looked at the two size by side I was more impressed with the brilliance and colour of the smaller one though she liked the idea of 2 carats. I also don't think that the extra diameter, 0.6mm over the smaller 7.64mm, can be detected unless the stones are very close together. So the question is, would the extra sparkle from the higher quality stone potentially give a more impactful impression than the larger lower quality stone ?

Hi Chris, You and I are on the same page! I would go for quality over size any day of the week. You're absolutely correct. Fortunately, our human eyes are not built to distinguish that small difference in size without a reference point. Make sure the color, clarity, and cut grades are hard-graded--not grade bumped! Have a great day.
