Sparkly Diamonds
I was reading some info on diamond shapes which was quite fun and amusing, but I was surprised to find that you posted that the most sparkly diamonds are the princess(which I love and can’t afford) and radiant. I also thought the shape that had the most sparkle was the round? I know it has to do also how good the cut is. But whenever the shows talk about which shape has the most sparkle they always mention the round.
I like reading your articles they are fun and not boring.

Hi Linda,
A princess cut and box radiant (which are not more expensive than any other shape, by the way) have more of a crushed ice effect. They have more of a light dispersion (broken up light) because of their extra facets and facet arrangements. They don't return more light than a round; just break up the light more.
