Tiffany Quality

Hi Fred. I have another question about Tiffany: clearly the consensus is that they are overpriced, but barring that, what is your opinion as far as the quality of their diamond solitaires? I’m looking at a 1.23 ct. emerald cut solitaire: table 67%, 6.78 x 5.48 x 3.77 mm, VS1 G, no fluorescence, girldle medium to slightly thick, no culet. The only inclusion under a microscope is on the perimeter, not in the table or near the surface at all, and very insignificant. I’ve seen the GIA on it. It appears to have very good polish and symmetry and it has wonderful fire. Unfortunately I don’t know the depth. How would you assess this diamond?
The other I’m considering is 1.02 ct. EC, VS1 F, no fluorescence, very small culet, medium to slightly thick girdle, dimensions 6.32 x 5.05 x 3.50 mm, 64% table. Again, I didn’t write down the depth. This one is not as clear to the naked eye as the first one I described. It primarily has some pinpoint inclusions and maybe two or three somewhat larger ones. Most are on the perimeters. One pinpoint is on the edge of the table.
Your opinion would be appreciated.
Thanks so much.

Hi Sheryl, Rock #1 is not a 65/65 E.C. so I'd pass. Rock #2(the 1.02) has good table%, but has a total depth% of 69.3%! Pass-a-rooni!! The Diamond Guy
